I went to this place because the reviews were unbelievable. I am not a guru when it comes to Mexican food but mostly because it all tastes the same in other places, not this one....This place delivered on all accounts. Customer service was great. Cool kid behind the counter that appears to be family and was good at letting me know what was best. Ended up getting the asada nachos and the asada burrito. Way too much food but tasted amazing and I didn't want to stop eating it!! You can get by with only one as portions are pretty big and price is right. Definitely will frequent this gem.

Everything I've tried here is great. One particular item that was weird but amazing was the choriqueso. I'd describe it as a chorizo/onion omelet made with cheese. Like no egg, the "egg" was cheese. I hope that description makes sense! I wish I had taken a picture. Weird but decadent and wondeful! Great addition to the neighborhood!

Don't let the former fast food restaurant building fool you, this place has the best Mexican food in the St. Paul area for certain.

First stop at the grill and it was excellent. We ordered; Steak taco Cheek taco Torizo taco Albumre (check my spelling) Everything was unbelievable - 6 out of 5 I don't know how else to say it but the definitely the best in St.Paul period. As a neighbor of the west 7th community thank you Victor for bringing your authentic Mexico City food to St. Paul. We are forever grateful. Will be returning very soon!

Hands down best & most authentic Mexican food in the Twin Cities, unlike some of the low star reviews from the whitebread with butter yokels, if you want american mexican food, then yeah go to taco bell, but if you have a spine and can handle some spice, Hit up Victor at Tavial Grill!!!!! Pastor is King as always!!!! The decor is minimal and its more of a blue collar taco shop. But the welcoming atmosphere and awesome food make up for it, being from California where good mexican food is heard of I was totally in love with this place at first bite. Be brave, don't be a stereotype, eat real mexican food!!!!

A simple, quick mexican food addition to the neighborhood. Tacos, burritos, fajitas, etc. Everything seems house made, even the sauces. And they're all pretty darn good. I was quite pleased with my meal. So much so that I'll definitely be back for more!

Today it occurred to me that I need to write a review if for no other reason than to let people know that this is the friendliest place in town. Not to mention their delicious chicken enchiladas and chicken quesadillas. And if you missed the state fair they've got cheese curds.

Great price and truly authentic. My favorite stop for quick food in St. Paul. Get the Pastor Burrito!

After 9 years in Phoenix, I'm always on the hunt for good Mexican food in the Midwest. Glad I found this little gem!! Asada and Pastor tacos were some the best I've had in Minnesota! Very friendly family run business. The owner is from Mexico City. I'll definitely be back!!

Finally gave this place a try. Just did a gyro and it was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Place was clean. What else can be said? I will be back very soon.

3.5-4 stars in Texas, but five in Minnesota. Reminds me of the kind of roadside Taquerias you find in south Texas. Good quality ingredients prepared simply, but well. We enjoyed everything we tried. Definitely the best Tex Mex I've had in Minneapolis (though that's not saying much!)

Hands down the best Mexican food around. Everything fresh and delicious and the owner personally introduced himself and gave me a sample of carnitas that was dynamite. I will recommend this place to family and friends and become a regular!

My girlfriend suggested this place after she came across this place and seeing 5 stars 56 reviews!! Boy was she excited. I decided to go eat lunch with her during her break and she suggested we grabbed Tavial Grill. Tavial Grill is located south St. Paul...I never thought I would be driving all the way out there to grab some Mexican food, but after seeing the reviews, we agreed to give this place a go. The restaurant is somewhat new (September 2014). It's a nice small restaurant that seemed to have bought a past fast food restaurant. They offer both dine-in and a drive through. I came here around 11:45AM on a Friday and was not that busy. I walked in and the floors seemed a little dirty. Though this place only opened less than a year, it seemed to be somewhat dirty for its age. However, their tables and seats were top notch. Clean and new looking. Upon entrance, I gazed at the huge menu. They seemed to not only serve a variety of Mexican foods like Tacos, tamales, quesadillas and burritos, but also American favorites like Philly Cheesesteaks, Chicken wings, salads, cheese curds and more. It seemed like of odd..., but hey if it's good, why not sell it. This place seemed to be opened by a family. I placed my order to, which seemed like the owner's son. He was very sweet and nice and answered the questions I had. I asked him if he preferred burritos or tacos and he told me he personally likes the burritos. I decided to go with the carnitas burrito. I love carnitas burritos! I get it at almost all Mexican restaurants. My girlfriend wanted tacos, so I got her 2 carne asada tacos and 1 pastor (pork) taco, which contained pork, pineapple and onion..which I thought was a little weird. I don't often get pineapple in my tacos...but hey, it seemed like it'll be good nonetheless. I then tried to order, my staple drink. The Horchata. I love horchata!! It's one of my favorite drinks to drink! I love cinnamon flavoured foods! I didn't see it on the menu, so I asked them if they had it. The young boy told me not yet, they are still looking to get a machine for it.. Hmm, I was a little disappointed, but I knew my girlfriend would be even more disappointed. After placing my order, I saw some guy eating tamales. After being unable to resist..I went back and ordered a pork tamale... Boy does this a lot of food for 2 people. They packed all the food in a lunch bag and topped it with tortilla chips! Now onto the food..... First thing I tried was my burrito. It was pretty big and was a little scared I wouldn't be able to finish it. I then started chowing it down. The burrito had rice, beans lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, cheese, and carnitas meat... boy was this a bland burrito. I'm sorry, the carnitas meat was very bland..did not like how their carnitas tasted. It wasn't moist..wasn't fattening..and wasn't roasted well. It might be one of the worst..burritos I've ever had at a Mexican place... I couldn't even finish it..I tossed the last 1/4. Next I tried the carnitas tamale. The carnitas in the tamale was again..as disappointing as the one in the burrito. Lastly..my girlfriend's tacos. I didn't try any, but she did not like it at all..and she's tried tacos from all over California and Minnesota. She recommends tacqueria la hacienda on lake street for tacos. I probably wouldn't come here again for mexican food..it just isn't that good.

I stopped in on a weeknight and wanted some simple steak tacos. The tacos here were fantastic. Delicious steak with cilantro and onions, plus some refried beans and rice on the side. I'm so glad there's a place so close to me with such good Mexican food. And the service was top notch.

First Timer. The "first" is important because it definitely will be one of many. Did my thing: went with the feature. The Alambre: steak, peppers, onions, bacon, cheese, seasonings; with a side of (4) warm corn tortillas. Amazing to solo, but even better idea for the future... to SPLIT! Paired it with a horchata because thats how I do when I do traditional mexican. The chef was very interested in how much we liked the food, which gave me the inkling he could be owner? Advised that next time I come through I should try the choriqueso... Needless to say I am already planning another trip...

My intention was to take a photo of the delicious carnitas burrito I had, but the risk of biting my own hand was too great. I went here for lunch and anticipate going back for many future lunches. Everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked amazing, so slowly but surely I intend to make my way through the whole menu. The price is right, too. Pretty inexpensive and you get a lot.

This location has had a varied history the past couple of decades and I generally snicker when driving past and see a new sign above the door and an empty parking lot. 'I'll give it 6 months' I say to myself. And I've given each incarnation a shot. So, when my comrade in arms gave me the thumbs up on Tavial Grill, I shrugged but kept an open mind. The first trip blew me away. The Al Ahmbre al Pastore was platter sized, smokey flavored, and came with 3 foil wrapped corn tortillas. Gave me a quick little trip back to Mexico. The server also gave us a squeeze bottle of guacamole sauce (mild heat) and a salsa roja (medium heat). They keep the dining area cool, so if you tend to run cool in winter months, dress warm. The owner checked on us and gave us another wrapped tortilla each - the Al Ahmbre needed at least 4 tortillas. yum. The cashier seemed a bit disoriented/ preoccupied, but I chalked it up to new staff growing pains. Since the first visit, I've decided that the guy taking orders has some work to do. Wrong orders, missed items ordered, preoccupied with the ringing phone, etc. Nice kid, but as this place thrives, and IMO it's going to grow, he's gonna be in over his head. Gracias Victor y su famila!

This place was great. Their food was as authentic as their smiles. I had the asada quesadilla and the cabeza taco. Both were delicious. I will definitely be back.

This place is a gem! From the outside, it looks like a fast food chain and doesn't really inspire you to think: " this place serves awesome authentic Mexican tacos." However, if you venture inside you will be impressed. The food is very fairly priced and service is really fast and friendly. Most tacos are $2 and burritos are $6 and are chipotle sized beasts. The beef cheek tacos are awesome and the salsa is also solid. This is a family run establishment and you can tell with the way the workers interact with customers: smiles, politeness, and of course very happy to hear you like their food. The owner came from working in his dad's restaurant in Mexico City, so he knows his stuff. I stopped in one time and told the owner that I loved their beef cheek tacos and he put extra beef cheeks in the tacos free of charge just because I raved about how good it was, a real class act. So give this place a try if you are looking for good Mexican. You will not be disappointed.

Love! Love! Love! I love this place! The prices are low, place is clean, staff is friendly and food is awesome! I love the asada and the chicken tacos. They are flavorful. The tamales are big and not dry. The chips are always on point and the guac and sauces are awesome! This is a great diamond in the rough!

Had to order extra tacos for lunch the next day. As we left there was a van behind us swerving and kept turning his signal on. We thought it was a drunk driver, but it turned out to be the cook. He flagged us down, because I forgot my 2 extra tacos. What great service! Fantastically awesome!

I love this place! It's so nice to see a family-owned restaurant open here. It looks kind of like a chain from the outside, so I wasn't expecting much, but...This place is so, so good. Don't let the exterior fool you. The chicken and cheek meat tacos are my favorite, and at less than $2 each they're a steal. Also, the burritos are just as big as Chipotle's, but tastier and cheaper. There's this great creamy green salsa sauce that comes with the food, and it's soo good. For those who like spice, there's also a hot chipotle salsa that comes with everything. Every time I've been in here the service is fantastic and friendly. The owner has cooked our food and his kids are there to ring me up and serve. It's just a wonderful overall experience.

Muy bueno. Hands down the best tacos in the Twin Cities. I cant order anything other than their Mexi-style street tacos. Tortillas, meat, onion, cilantro, and salsa. The al pastor and carne asada are my favorite. They're absolutely fantastic, hope they stick around. Their hot salsa is impeccable. Lastly, the owner is an awesome guy and it is always nice to talk to someone who knows their tacos.

Amazing Mexican food! I was looking for some good burritos and I found this place on yelp with great reviews and I can only add to the heaping number of 5 star reviews. Huge burritos, extremely friendly owner, great tasting, and cheap! What else more could you ask for? The restaurant is clean, and the wait is short! The employees go out of their way to help customers. I'll definitely be back

Great food, very friendly and welcoming staff, great prices! I really can't say enough good things about this place. You can tell that the owner is very passionate about his food and that always makes for a great experience. Tried the Enchilada entree and it was delicious (and probably enough food for two people!) The guacamole is fresh and fantastic. I am looking forward to the next visit where I plan to pick up some to-go Tacos and Nachos and head over to the Summit Tap Room.

This place was pretty great for meat lovers! They have very limited vegetarian options, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. The corn tortilla for the tacos were very tasty!

After all of the very positive reviews for Tavial I was hoping / wishing for something better. Living with a man from Southern California, we're always searching for authentic Mexican in the Twin Cities. While the food was decent and there were some authentic ingredients it just didn't live up to expectations. If you're wanting a slightly better than chipotle burrito, you won't be disappointed.

As others have said, not appealing from the outside but this place serves up awesomely tasty and authentic mexican food. I work nearby so I decided to give it a try. It's not the proximity that keeps me coming back, it's the food quality!

Bored of the same dining options? Check this place out. Good food, cheap and authentic. Myself and 2 other people went to eat there one night after reading reviews on yelp and was not disappointed. We each got a burrito and split an order of chips and salsa. We paid about $22 for all of it and it was the best money I've spent in a long while. Will be going back and have been telling everyone about it!

Good Mexican food and reasonable prices with a nice overall menu selection. The service is fast and friendly. I have been here a few times and I like the food. Try this place if you're in the area. Good for lunch or a quick dinner. Takeout is my choice here...

This place is amazingly good. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is simple and upbeat. We came close to closing and they didn't even seem to mind. We ordered all the tacos. The cabeza (cheek) and linga (beef tongue) are SO good. The pork tacos are divine. Make sure to get both green and red sauce. Did I mention it's dirt cheap? Their chicken enchilada could feed two ppl. I'm in heaven. Perfect for takeout or better sitting there and enjoying it hot. Best authentic Mexican I've had in a long time.

My son and I went their before the Rush concert last night. Victor and his family deserve your business, based on the quality and flavor of the food and his love for cooking. I got the impression that Victor is living the American Dream of becoming a restauranteur..and will succeed based on what he is serving...Go there!

This place definitely deserves the high ratings that it gets. I stopped in for lunch when I was in the area for work. I ordered a chicken taco and a pastor (marinated pork) taco. Both were delicious, with just the right amount of filling and flavor. I checked out the rest of the menu and found that they have a pretty big selection that would please even picky children. They have fries, cheese curds, quesadillas, and chicken wings. Great service as well. I will definitely be bringing the rest of my family here soon.

I was not planning on partaking in a taco, but when I had some time to kill I popped in. My friend's business is a few doors down on West Seventh and she had sung praises for this place previously. So, I walk in and there is a huge table of people, one person for take-out and A gentlman ordering desert. I ordered a chicken taco and a side of rice. (Really nice staff) A pleasant young man brought out my food. I think this a small family business. Anyways, I opened up my taco and to my surprise, it was asada! (steak). It looked so good I ate it anyways. the gentleman came out and told me he was sorry and then he brought me out a chicken taco! Yum. The tacos were the real thing. The rice was good. The sauces they provided were off the hook. As I was leaving I thanked him and he mentioned that on Saturdays, he makes homemade tamales. I am going to go out of my way to get back here on a Saturday! Lovely people, lovely food.

A friend and I met here for lunch a couple of weeks ago, and I will definitely be back.I tried the cheek meat and carne asada tacos, as well as the chips and guacamole. The tacos came with a two different salsas both of which were amazing. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. In addition to the food being awesome, the service was also fantastic. Various family members were working behind the counter, and they all seemed genuinely happy we were there. The owner came out to visit with us and ask how we liked out meal. Definitely a different experience from a fast food chain with a stoned teenager ringing you up. I love the fact that they do take out, and the owner mentioned to us that he wants to add delivery service as well. All in all, a great addition to the neighborhood.

I'm a Southern California native, so I'm used to good Mexican food. I've been in The Cities for over 3 years now and still haven't found a go-to Mexican food place. My search is over!! Tavial Grill es FANTASTICO!! The carne asada burrito was delicious and the red salsa was amazing! Flavorful and hot, buy not melt-your-face-off hot. Now if I can just talk the chef into making a California burrito...

Great family owned AUTHENTIC place. Where else can you get tongue and cheek? And I mean tacos! The tongue burrito was wonderful and the salsa was hot hot hot!

We were driving by and decided to check out the place for late lunch. It was a good decision. My wife had the Tacos and I had the chicken Quesadilla with Cilantro added added by special request. The Quesadilla was excellent and reminded me of one I had several years back in California. The place was very clean and food showed up quickly. Highly recommended.

This place has 5 stars written all over. One of the best Mexican places I been to recently. Food is very fresh, very generous portions and perfect proportion of ingredients. Fell in love with this place and will be going there again. Try Jarrito tamarind drink! You will like it. Very good customer service! Don't let the small size fool you!

Go here and get some tacos ( the cheek meat and tongue are top notch). Right now. You won't be sorry. The family that owns it are as nice as can be. The food is fantastic. I am not sure where they get their tortillas from (home-made?), but they are magical. The meat is cooked and seasoned perfectly. Both the red and green sauces are delicious. Burritos are also worth the trip (and better than some of the chain burritos). This has become a weekly meal for us.

AMAZING and flavorful Mexican food made by friendly people who clearly know what they're doing. They are willing to please anyone that comes in the door...they have some non-Mexican fare available too, along with kids options. They clearly want nothing more than to cook really good food for you. Happy to have a place like this in the neighborhood!

  • Patti I.

Really good, authentic Mexican food. The restaurant is super casual but cleaner than my other fave, Pineda Taco on Robert Street. It seems that the best Mexican food is at places where you order at the counter, and this place is no exception. Four of us ordered an assortment of dishes: steak fajitas, chicken enchiladas, two tamales, four carnitas tacos, and one quesadilla. All were delicious. Service was quick and friendly. This is definitely a place to visit if you're in the neighborhood--very authentic. Parking is easy in their own lot.

I JUST came back from my lunch there and felt the need to review them right away. I went today because it was Taco Tuesday AND Cinco de Mayo so what better excuse to try a place that's been on my list? I was expecting madness since it's Cinco de Mayo but there wasn't any wait at lunch time! I got there at about 12:15 and was up next to order. You order, then they call your number when it's ready. I was looking over the menu and one of the guys working, probably the owner made some suggestions. I wanted to try the Alambre or the Fajitas but I wanted tacos so I went with tacos so I could try several kinds of the meats. They had some interesting ones but I stayed on the safe side this time and got steak, pastor, and tinga. I also ordered a red pork tamale. It was cheap! Around $10 or $11. Food was done fast and came with a couple bottles of hot sauces. I liked the red sauce better but both were legit. Food was good, solid 4 star food but the service was impeccible. Everyone working was SO friendly and sincerely wanted to make sure I liked my food. He came over to clear my tray and asked how I liked it and if I would be back, and told me he's remember me if I did, becuase he likes to remember his regulars! So sweet. I will FOR SURE be back and next time I will try some of the adventurous tacos (tongue, cheek, etc) and some of their other stuff! Definitely recommend!

I wasn't planning on coming here tonight. I was supposed to be on my way to Sioux Falls at dinner time but I was successful in convincing my boss to leave a bit later and eat dinner here as there wasn't any decent food to be had between here and Sioux Falls. He believed me as he knew I wasn't playing around when it comes to food. We were in the St. Paul area and searching for nearby places, I saw Tavial Grill. It sounded very familiar because Jenny A just reviewed it and I always believe in Jenny's words. The girl does not know what sugar coating means. When she said it's good, it's good! She said after Tavial, she's no longer Taco Bell Mexican type and moving up in the world. Well, that sounds right up my alley. My coworkers called me "Weezy" like George called Louise in "The Jeffersons." I am movin' on up too! Though, I didn't remember last time I ate at Taco Bell. I am sticking with it though and moving on up. When we got here, we were a bit surprised that it was a taqueria. For some reason, we thought it was more of a full service restaurant, maybe because of the word "Grill". However, it didn't stop us in trying this 5 star rated restaurant on Yelp. Out of 31 reviews, their overall score is 5 stars! Wow! It had to be good. It was good! So good! The menu was on the wall and it was not big but it had enough varieties to keep everyone happy. They even had french fries and wings on the menu. The prices were dirt cheap with tacos ranging only a bit over $2 and a fajita platter for $8. Get out! It was so cheap. They were so friendly behind the counter and it seemed it's run by a family as we saw an older couple, a guy that must have been the son, and a boy that might have been the grandson. They greeted us and talked to us about the selections of food. My boss went for Alembra or was it Alembre? I don't fucking know but it was steak with bacon and some veggies that were prepared on the grill and served with corn tortilla. I went with steak fajita. We also got some Guacamole. I shit you not the food were excellent. It was not greasy and the meat was tender. It had great flavor and we inhaled that in no time. The guacamole was very limey and had a good kick to it. It had been kind of fun to build trust with my boss through my food selection as he seemed to trust me more and more not just with restaurant choices, but also other decisions. Apparently, I didn't disappoint him this time either. For a small taco shop, this place is pretty on fleek. Yes, I just learned the word from Dita D's teenage son and it sounded appropriate. The inside was super clean, including the bathroom. You could also see the kitchen area that was spic and span. I was really impressed and was happy to see a family run business that really boasted quality. Plus, it was dirt cheap and we were stuffed with the $12 meal we got. We didn't get to try the chips and salsa though. I thought I read that they give you that with every meal but we didn't get any. However, it wasn't a big deal as I was trying to eat less carb. The two sauces given to us were amazing as well. I love both the green sauce and the red hot sauce. I understood why this place has a 5 star rating and they deserved each star. I am a big fan of Mexican food and I had all kinds from Taco Bell to Rick Bayless' Topolobampo. I'd say Tavial Grill can stand proud for serving great food, great service, at a great price. I just can't wait to come back and try more tacos and the tamales. El Jefe was happy all the way to Sioux Falls. Being in the same car for five hours, it was so important that he was in a good mood. Glad he didn't eat any beans. Really glad.

Tavial Grill defines "neighborhood gem." If Yelp didn't exist, how would I know about this hideaway on West Seventh? Anyways, the drive from Minneapolis was well worth my time. Alright, the review: I. SPACE: Like many other taquerias, the interior is cozy, casual, humble, and perfect for small groups. They have their own lot, and finding a spot on the street shouldn't be too difficult, too. II. FOOD: They have mostly everything from enchiladas pollo to taco carnitas. They also have additional items such as chicken wings and cheese curds to attract other customers. But then again, who doesn't like those things? I ordered a couple burritos al pastor, for dinner with my boo that night. *Burrito Al Pastor: Just the right amount of spice, tender meat, not too bean-y, and just enough rice (without it encompassing the entire burrito). I also love that their al pastor incorporates some of the pineapple that's used to soften and make the meat more succulent. I would consider making a long drive to get it this, when possible. *Chips: Nice, crispy, and hot. They come with every order, as well as some complimentary dips. III. SERVICE: Incredibly friendly! Not only is this place run by a family joint - where, I had the pleasure of speaking to both the son and father - but they also treat you like family. Kindness kills. IV. PRICES: What bumps this eatery up a star is their incredibly low prices for food. $5.99 for a burrito? Quesadillas for $5.50? The tacos are about 20 to 40 cents more than other places ($2.50), but it's not outrageous or anything. Anyways, I bought dinner for my girlfriend for under $13 and the food was good. That's ridiculous. V. OVERALL: They definitely made a great impression on me, and I'm looking forward to trying their tamales and alambres in the future. To improve, I would like to see them carry horchata and maybe some other desserts. However, at those prices, I don't care all too much.

Forget everything you thought I knew about Mexican food. Tavial Grill just rubbed it's taco all over my face and I am not complaining for one single solitary second. Authentic? Well, they serve pieces of animal I will probably never eat, and the sweet guy behind the counter appeared to be mexican, so... Yes? *cricket.. cricket* But, who cares. When you can serve me a plate of 4 different kinds of tacos, with the most basic topping of onion and cilantro and I'm not dying to slather some sour cream on that bitch, then we've got a winner. The chicken, delish. The chorizo; flavorful, a little spicy, and not skimpy at all. The carnitas; best thing I put in my mouth and I can't decide if I hate myself or love myself for saving it for last. I was so full I ditched the corn tortillas and ate the insides with a fork, traditional whitey style. Last, but definitely not least was the steak taco, great flavor, a little on the chewy side but nothing that stopped my mouth from watering all over the floor. Seriously, it's a little embarrassing. And what's better than knowing that Sam and I can celebrate a traditional mexican holiday because Sam has finally found a tamale he enjoys. The red pork tamale, fresh out the basket. Peeling away the husk leaving a giant flavorful mass of masa and generously filled with juicy and flavorful pulled pork. Splendid, filling.. and the service was all smiles and sweet jokes from the guy behind the counter. I love a lighthearted attitude with a side of tacos. I used to be a Taco Bell Mexican, but not anymore! I'm movin' up in the world, people!

Somehow I blocked this place out all the times I drove by thinking it's just another bent joint. Then Linda H. brought it up and I never heard of it. That's how much I never knew it was there. I never had a tamale, but I'll try it. I broke down and got an enchilada with only cheese, topped with squirted sour cream. I think there were 3 plus the beans and rice that I mixed together, not only to get my complete protein that way, but it's the only way to eat it to get the great flavor. So, this totally breeds the A word. They've improved this upper part of W. Seventh, but now I love it, and it's just a spit away from Mojo Monkey donuts, where there never fails to be a screaming kid. Nobody screams at Tavial, but it wouldn't be unreasonable it you did, it's that awesome.

Stopped in one day after someone in my apartment building recommended it. Needless to say, I'm HOOKED. I'd choose this place over Chipotle (or even local Boca Chica/Taco House) any day. $5.99 for a gigantic carnitas burrito? Can't beat it. Their salsas are amazing -- especially the green one. You get a handful of chips with your order, and you can add rice or beans as a side for 99¢ each. The chicken nachos are to die for -- a mound of chips topped with juicy shredded chicken, beans, lettuce, and sour cream... Another steal at $5.99. It's dangerous living less than a mile away from this place!

What a great find! We had the pastor tacos and burritos; we were not disappointed. Great food and good prices.

Yum! Seriously, this place is legit! Really high quality meats, really well seasoned, and awesome salsas! On top of that, the service is on point, they are super friendly here, happy to see you come in, always smiling, and they give you a wave on the way out! Don't hesitate to check them out, you won't be disappointed!

It's a keeper. I especially love the spicy pork and spicy chicken tacos. My husband got the beef tongue taco (I just can't) which he lived, and the Choriqueso, also great. Even the chicken quesadilla, a mundane choice for the little one, was far better than the typical. Great place, will go back often.

The vegetarian Burrito was great and cheap. Rich with fresh tasting veggies and less beany. Layered with just enough cilantro to enhance the flavor. The sauce was unlike anything I've tried. Very liberal portions overall. The greatest part was - it was super duper fast. Good customer service. And the food was warm unlike the many burrito places around here. I can't wait to try their Quesohongos the next time.

Just passing by when I came across Tavial Grill. Have read many good things here. Dinner time and I hadn't eaten yet, thought why not stop in and try it out. Had the cheek meat burrito and chips. Fantastic!!!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
